What XI Predictor does
XI Predictor reads the official Fantasy Premier League data every day and scores every player on the things that actually decide fantasy points: how often they play, what they create and concede, who they face next, and what they cost. Two numbers come out of it — expected points for the upcoming gameweek, and an overall rating out of 100 that ranks a player against others in the same position. How the model works
Expected points start from a player's underlying output — shots, chances created, goals and assists expected from the positions they take up — adjusted for how much of each match they actually play. That is then weighted by the difficulty of the fixture, scaled by the scoring rules for their position, and reduced when injury or rotation risk makes minutes uncertain. The overall rating layers form, value and availability on top and normalises the result within each position, so a defender is compared with defenders rather than forwards. - What is XI Predictor?
- A free, independent Fantasy Premier League analysis tool. It rates every player out of 100, forecasts expected points for the upcoming gameweek, and turns that into captain picks, differentials and full squads.
- Where does the data come from?
- The official Fantasy Premier League API: prices, ownership, minutes, form, underlying attacking and defensive numbers, and the fixture list. Nothing is hand-entered.
- What are expected points (xPts)?
- A forecast of how many fantasy points a player scores in the upcoming gameweek. It blends underlying attacking output, minutes reliability, position-specific scoring, fixture difficulty and availability.
- How is the overall rating different from expected points?
- Expected points answer a single-gameweek question. The rating out of 100 is a broader judgement of a player against others in the same position, factoring form, fixtures, value and availability.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Every tool is free and there are no ads. An account is only needed to save squads across devices.
